Introducing: Baggu

Based in Brooklyn, New York and San Francisco, Baggu is an environmentally conscious bag design company. Baggu was founded in 2007 by Parsons School of Design fashion grad Emily Sugihara and her master seamstress mother Joan.

The two set out to share the minimalist bags they were sewing for themselves with bag enthusiasts everywhere. Their mission is to make simple, durable, multi-purpose, high quality bags in bright colours that feel good to use.

The Baggu Brand began with one product: The Standard BAGGU in eight colors. This simple and sturdy Ripstop nylon tote, based on the construction of a plastic grocery bag and cut to minimize waste,  is now available in a wide range of colors and prints that change seasonally.

Baggu's leather products are made in the USA. Nylon products are ethically made in China, in a factory audited yearly annually by a third party, and the nylon is  produced in an ISO 14001 certified factory - keeping things environmentally friendly, safe for their employees, and affordable for you.
