American Military Fashion, Part 2: On The Runway

The military trend was full force on the runways this Spring, and in this blog post I'm going to point out some of the highlights from the most major design houses, and their interpretations on all things Army.

Alexander McQueen incorporated signature bondage pieces with deep military green influences and classic tan trench coats for a heavy hand, but designers at the house of  Saint Laurent went for easy-to-wear influences by sticking to the basics.

While Junya Watanabe featured 7 full head-to-toe camo print looks for a bold statement,

Valentino's collection embraced layers of luxurious fabrics, giving us some softness and light for this springtime interpretation.

Several other collections featured their own twists on military fashions which were hard to miss, including Trussardi, Zadig & Voltaire, and Public School.

So basically, all across the fashion spectrum for Spring 2018, you'll find influences of US. Military, and there's really no wrong piece to use to interpret this trend into your everyday style, whether you go all out camo, or more subtle with touches of army green.

Next up, we look at how you can embrace this trend and make it current for this spring.
